Gernesey and Jersey

A ot of driving around to get there as we had to drive all the way from St Girons to St Malo whih is in Bretagne so Noth West of France... all of that in 6 hours (driving at 150k.... but limited at 110k... Explanation: my dd was driving that is wy I sit in the frontotherwise we have argurment all the time between my mum and dad regarding drivingskills!!!!)

So St Malo took the Ferry which stopped first at Jersey and then Gernsey.

note: I found the Ferry very very similar to the ones we take to cross between North Island and South Island... but maybe it's just me cause the ones in NZ don't have duty free, it's not sited and the deck outside is a bit different!!!!! :p

Anyway so Gernsey... well.... kind of boring.... I mean it is pretty cute... Love the fact that they speak English but... a little too small for me!!! It's very... outback in some ways.... In terms of architecture the houses are similar to the ones you'd find in suburb England.

So arrived on Thursday evening, stayed Friday... did my mum's business thing... and as we all did not really enjoy it we decided that we would leave in the morning for Jersey. It ended up costing us quite a bit to make that last minute change but oh well.... it was a good call cause we loved it!!!

Jersey ismuch bigger. For a start the roads are much bigger.... you can actually fit 2 cars on the road (not like in Gernsey where mst of the roads are on way only or tiny as hell). Moreover, after doing my mum business and shopping around town we drove around the island a bit and founs an awesome spot!!!! A lighthouse th you can walk to when the tide is out but it is not acessible when the tide is in!!! So when we arrived to it the tide was out... Then we left and tried to ind a good place to ahve dinneras it was a wonderful day so would be a great sunset... as time went by my mum wanted to go back to the lighthouse and see the tide coming in... and watching the sunset while having dinner at a restaurant.
Overall: GREAT SPOT!!!! :p
